How is the whole introducing solids thing going? Well...

She's not eating it yet, BUT...

she has figured out how to fake sleeping.

Babing at High Altitude: A year ago, I could easily describe myself. Now that I am a new mama, I am just beginning to become acquainted with who I am becoming. At 24 years old, life has finally become real. Up until now I was just kind of going through the motions, doing what was expected: graduating high school, going to college to pursue a prestigious career as an architect, get knocked up, postpone graduation, and move in with my boyfriend to start a family. Well, after the whole study architecture thing, the whole "life" plan kind of veered off course! My boyfriend and I packed up, and moved from Aspen down the valley to Carbondale to become what the locals (formally ourselves) like to call DVT or downvalley trash. Carbondale, a town where the un-uber-wealthy people can almost afford to live, and raise a family. Eventually, I will finish up my degree, and become a designer. Moms keep telling me that it gets so much easier. I lie to moms that have younger babies than me, too.
